Although Moringa is a recent discovery here in the United States , many other countries include Moringa as part of their medicinal heritage. India : The juice from the leaves is believed to have a stabilizing effect on blood pressure and is used to treat anxiety. The leaves of the Moringa plant are used as a poultice to reduce glandular swelling Moringa leaves are used to treat fevers, bronchitis, eye and ear infections, and inflammation of mucus membranes. Moringa leaves are considered to be anthelmintic – able to kill intestinal parasites. Philippines : Eating Moringa leaves is believed to increase a nursing mother's milk production, and is sometimes prescribed for anemia. Used as a skin antiseptic and applied externally to help heal sores and skin infections Senegal : An infusion of leaf juice is believed to control glucose levels in cases of diabetes. Mixed with honey and followed by a drink of coconut milk twice a day, the leaf powder is used as a remedy for traveler's diarrhea, dysentery, and colitis. The leaf juice is used as diuretic.
